Chef Susanne Grier has always been in the kitchen. At the ripe age of 8, she was known to her family as "the midnight baker." Chef Susanne has a diverse background with a Bachelors in Fine Art and in Education from
Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The call of the kitchen was strong, so she then pursued culinary school where she received degrees in Culinary Arts, Baking & Pastry Arts, and Professional Catering from
Sullivan University in Louisville, Kentucky. Chef Susanne has cooked all over the Midwest and was recently awarded Indianapolis Pastry Chef of the Year from theAmerican Culinary Federation of Indianapolis. Chef Susanne has also served as the Executive Pastry Chef for
NFL Honors. Chef Susanne has traveled extensively throughout Europe and was also trained in French pastry in Paris at
Currently she is a chef educator at Ivy
Tech Community College and is on the board of directors for the
American Culinary Federation of Indianapolis. One of her joys is sharing her 20 plus years of culinary knowledge with others, especially with her young daughter. Susanne is an AGA Ambassador, and enjoys educating others about these great cookers.
